As you will see in the links below, many of our contest pages have similar names: for example, singing contest, singers contest, singing showcase, singing competition, etc. With this one category for singers, these are all the same contests with the same rules, submission policies, and prize awards. We do this for many of our contest categories so different people using different keywords or phrases while searching for music contests on the Internet can find our site. If all we had was a page called "singing contests" but someone typed in "singers competition" as a key phrase in a search engine, they may not have found our page. With these variations, it allows for many word options for others to reach our contest pages.
In order to provide the cash prizes and benefits for any given music contest category each quarter, we need enough entries to cover those prizes. If that doesn't happen (for example, with a special interests category), we will pool entries into the general singing, songwriting, or band contests and judge them accordingly. If we do this, your song entries will be judged fairly: it doesn't matter if a Polka Band competes with a Rock Band entry. Everyone is judged independently without comparisons or preferences to any particular type or style of music, singing, lyrics, etc. Our staff is well-trained to judge everyone on their own merits.
If we don't have enough entries in any given quarter, you will receive your money back since we don't cash payments until after all entries are in.
